What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead Child & Family’s outward facing engagement strategy, including fundraising events, community partnerships, communications, and social media. The Manager of Community Engagement & Communications strengthens the visibility, builds trust with the community, and creates pathways for donors, sponsors, and partners to deepen their involvement with the organization.
Hybrid Role, 20% Remote Work.
Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
Community Engagements & Events
• Plan and execute fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement events.
• Manage corporate sponsorships and community partnerships.
• Ensure events are aligned with donor cultivation and stewardship goals.
Communications & Digital Engagement
• Manage organizational messaging, storytelling, and brand consistency.
• Oversee social media channels and digital engagement strategy.
• Develop content calendars and coordinate impact storytelling with program staff.
Donor & Audience Development
• Collaborate with the Manager of Philanthropy & Stewardship to convert events and digital audiences into donors.
• Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies to improve reach and conversion.
Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, events, or community engagement required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have strong project management and event planning skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital content required.
• Familiarity with nonprofit or human services organizations preferred.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
• Computer and database management skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.
Physical Requirements
Operational staff:
This position involves work in an office setting. Tasks include operating a computer for extended periods, communicating with colleagues, and occasional lifting of office/department materials up to 25lbs. The role also requires the ability to sit for extended periods, bending, reaching, hearing and vision.
