Treatment Foster Care of Oregon (TFCO) Family Therapist- Part time

Treatment Foster Care of Oregon (TFCO) is an evidenced based program aimed to create an opportunity for youth to live successfully in a family environment. The model allows youth to live with foster families while preparing to rejoin their biological family. The goals of the program and the Family Therapist are to assist Foster Parents develop skills to manage and support youth success, to provide placement stability, to provide a safe predictable environment for youth to develop age appropriate skills, to prepare family and youth to achieve success in the community and at home. 


  • Provides weekly family therapy to program youth's family using the TFCO treatment model. This includes introducing new behavioral, coping and parenting skills and practicing these in sessions using strategic positive reinforcement and coaching interventions.
  • Participates in 24 hour on-call availability for program parents. Family therapist may serve as back-up to the Team Leader for 24/7 on-call availability.
  • Attends weekly clinical team meetings.
  • Provides record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation).
  • Performs other related duties as required.


  •  Experience treating families.
  •  Experience treating families using parent coaching preferred.
  •  Experience with the administrative components of treatment (case documentation).
  •  Demonstrated ability to work as part of a treatment team.
  •  Ability to work cooperatively with Team Leader to implement weekly treatment plan, accept supervision well, be readily available for supervision, attend meetings, complete assigned paperwork. Valid driver's license, reliable car, and adequate automobile liability insurance.
  •  Must meet any required state certification or licensing criteria.
