Functional Family Therapy Clinical Supervisor

Job Description:

Leadership and management of a team to provide home and community based family centered services to families and clients.

All employees are encouraged to develop professional networks in their state and local communities that help to further family centered practice.  Certification in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) via the FFT training program is required to receive designation in advanced FFT positions. Additional certification may be required in order to provide FFT for specialty populations or programs.

  • Oversight of the census billing and invoicing process; reviewing for accuracy and signing the appropriate forms
  • Oversight of the payroll process including mileage and staff expenses; reviewing for accuracy and signing the appropriate forms
  • Oversight of the productivity of staff to include the management of the assignment and follow through of expected hours for each Clinician
  • Management and oversight of the program budget; monthly review of office expenses; make adjustments as needed
  • Oversight of the quantitative and qualitative record review process for client files; assurance of compliance with contract, accreditation, and licensure expectations and standards
  • Hiring and supervision of FFT team and administrative assistant for the capacity provided to the FFT program
  • Assist Human Resources in the interviewing and hiring of direct service (clinician) and support staff.
  • Oversight of the contract management process; maintain systems that trigger and track the client record needs and the contract performance reports
  • Oversight of the administrative tasks associated with the resignation and termination of staff
  • The supervision of the staff; both individual and team, is the responsibility of the FFT Supervisor.  The individual supervision includes clinical, on call, and field supervision. The team supervision is provided primarily to guide and develop the team to provide each other with effective peer supervision.
  • Oversight of the data collection process necessary for development of outcome results from Research and Program Evaluation.
  • Oversight of the client satisfaction survey and collateral satisfaction survey process.
  • Oversight and management of the company policies associated with accreditation and licensure standards; to include, but not limited to the HIPAA confidentiality and records requirements.
  • Oversight and management of the referral and intake process
  • Participate in individual supervision with your Supervisor and in peer supervision with your Management Team.


Related Master’s level degree with 2 years related supervisory experience
Licensed in clinical services; LPC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, etc. License eligible also considered.
Maintain flexibility in scheduling due to the nature of the workflow and level of responsibility – some evenings and weekends may be required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record clearance
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, and the ability to apply this to writing letters, treatment plans, etc.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities, including documentation, meeting with clients for the required hours each week, attending staff meetings and supervision, and other tasks as assigned
Maintain professionalism regarding demeanor, dress, communication, style, and overall manner
