Child & Family supports resilient families, vulnerable children, and elders throughout Rhode Island. Family Preservation is an important goal of every program and service we provide. We believe that individuals and communities thrive when supported by strong families, and that a community works best when it accepts responsibility for all of its members. As one of the largest social service agencies in RI, we operate community engagement centers in Providence and Middletown. Our home-based and community-based programs bring services to individuals and families across RI.

Employment Requirements

All offers of employment are contigent upon the successful completion of:

  • State criminal background check for RI (also known as the BCI)
  • National FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Check
  • RI Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check (formerly known as a CANTS check)
  • State Sex Offender Registry (RISOR)
  • National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR)
  • Interstate Criminal, Sex Offender Registry, and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry (for any individual who has lived outside of Rhode Island in the previous five years)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or bonafide need for an accommodation
  • Childcare staff: proof of vaccinations as required by the Rhode Island Department of Health
    • 1 dose of Flu vaccine every year
